Mayor’s Christmas Message
As the festive season approaches, it is my privilege as Mayor of Verwood to wish you a happy Christmas on behalf of the Councillors and Officers of the Town Council.
It is a great honour to be Mayor and in that role I have met many people who, as volunteers, work for others throughout the year. There are many community groups and charities who work in our community and make Verwood a better place to live. Thank you for all you do for others within the Town.
During the holiday season, I ask you to remember those who will be serving the community through their work. This includes those who work in the emergency services, health service and the armed forces. Members of the armed services may be very far from home. To them especially and to all who will work to keep us safe I send special good wishes and thanks.
I am looking forward to meeting many people who serve the community during the remaining months of my term of office. I wish you a very happy Christmas and a peaceful and healthy New Year for 2018.
