Michael Simper proposed a vote of thanks to the retiring Chairman, Mike Daymond for his work over the past year.

The Minutes of the previous AGM held 20th October 2004 had been approved at the February 2005 meeting

Item 6 – The Chairman had not written to the Charity Commission on the matter of the Accounts as they were below the £10,000 threshold

Approval of accounts for the Year 2004/2005

The Accounts were approved – proposed by Jane Russell, seconded Lindsey Dedden and agreed.  It was noted that the Recreation Ground had been looking good over the past year.

2.4 Item 8: Flooding to be monitored by the Chairman

Action: Chairman

4:  Rossgarth Football – Rossgarth had offered to repair the muddy area in front of the old goal mouth but this year the pitch layout had been adjusted to avoid the muddy area which had not yet recovered. It was suggested that the Chairman write formally to ask them to do this as soon as possible so that they can use the agreed layout next year. Proposed M Simper, seconded A Nicholls and agreed.

Post Meeting Note: At the meeting of the Verwood Town Council Recreation Ground & Open Spaces Committee held on 1^st November 2005, the Clerk was instructed to write to Rossgarth asking them to make necessary repairs to the goal mouth.

6: N. Christopher reported that he was liasing with Dave Auburn (E.D.D.C Youth Development Officer) over the MUGA. A youth survey is planned for the half term holiday in October 2005

AOB & Items for future discussion

It was suggested that the number of trustees meetings be reduced to two per year. Proposed Mrs A Daymond, seconded A Nicholls and agreed. Meetings will be held in May & October

The minutes of all Trustees meetings should be linked to the Verwood Town Council Internet site and lodged in the Verwood Library

It was requested that the subject of public toilets for Recreation Ground users be included on the agenda of the next meeting
