Verwood Town Council unanimously agreed to give Jack Peters a 16-year-old sixth former at Queen Elizabeth School a cheque towards him representing Great Britain at the Tumbling World Age Group Championships to be held in Birmingham in November.

Jack is currently ranked third in the country for his age group and his outstanding achievement to date was winning the British tournament at Stoke last year.

 The presentation took place in front of the Town Council Offices where the Mayor stated that Jack was a great Youth Ambassador for Verwood and wished him much success in the Championship.

Jack thanked the Town Council and said how much he was looking forward to taking part in the Championships.
