The Finance and Policy Committee meets eleven times a year. This is the organisational, administrative and financial committee, tasked with dealing with expenditure and income and Council Policies.
The Community and Plans Consultative Committee meets on a four weekly cycle to correspond with the period allowed for comment on planning applications by Dorset Council. Its role is to examine all planning applications affecting the Civil Parish and forward comments onto the Dorset Council who make the decisions, hopefully conditioned by the Town Council's advice. This Committee also administers the policy decisions on the operation of the cemetery and oversees the functioning, maintenance and safety of open spaces and play areas. Highway matters are also considered by the Committee.
